My friend Jason Steele and I agree air travel is not what it used to be - or for that matter could be and gripes about air travel are very commonplace. Last week I was listening to one of my local talk radio stations, WSB 750 AM, and syndicated consumer advocate Clark Howard mentioned a site that interested me greatly because it goes well beyond what seats to take (www.seatguru.com) or the on time information provided by most sites. The site called InsideTrip.com allows you to take into account a number of factors including leg room, the age of the fleet, the rate of baggage loss along with fare information and even better it lets you rank these items based on your preferences.
As Clark Howard wrote, " InsideTrip.com offers Consumer Reports-type rankings with a system of little circles and a numerical ranking. The consistent No. 1 airline seems to be Milwaukee-based Midwest Airlines, while United Airlines is usually the worst. Little surprise there!"
